This eBook is a heartfelt and practical guide that shares my real-life journey from being a nurse and public health nurse in Japan to working as an Assistant in Nursing (AIN) in Australia<\/strong> \u2014 and eventually obtaining sponsorship.<\/p>\n\n

I arrived in Sydney<\/strong> in May 2023<\/strong>, and that same month, I discovered a newly announced policy: the Aged Care Industry Labour Agreement (ACILA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The Aged Care Industry Labour Agreement (ACILA)<\/strong> is a labor agreement set up by the Australian government for the aged care sector. This agreement allows specific occupations (e.g., AIN<\/strong>) to work and migrate to Australia with sponsored employment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

At the aged care facility where I worked, I was the only Japanese staff member.\nACILA had only recently been introduced at the time, and I became one of the early Japanese AINs to receive sponsorship through this pathway.<\/span>
\n\nThere wasn\u2019t much information available, and no clear example to follow\u2014so I had to figure things out one step at a time.
